Christopher L. Allen, CPA - Managing Principal 

Mr. Allen is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Allen has worked in financial, operations and technical areas to reduce the cost of infrastructure, improve internal financial and business process controls, and develop enterprise risk management analyses and strategy. He has held global responsibility for IT controls covering multiple regional financial systems and supported compliance for both Sarbanes Oxley and regional regulatory requirements. His most recent position has been in the area of IT, business and financial controls for the Asia Pacific region in a turnaround situation for material weaknesses in control.

As a leader in a large consulting firm's Federal Services and Consumer Markets industry sectors supporting supply chain, finance and human resource technologies and processes, he has a strong track record in project and program management. His management results include 100% on-time and on-budget delivery over 20 years of consulting and executive work experience.

Mr. Allen also has industry experience with direct responsibility for HR strategy, communications, organizational development, training and policies & procedures development. His work experience includes responsibilities for organizational succession planning, labor market planning, compensation and benefits plans and reporting activities, as well as support for contract administration functions and labor negotiations. His financial work history includes accounting and consolidation for publicly held companies, internal audit management, treasury/cash management, budgeting, and financial & cost analysis.

He is currently the Managing Principal for The ClearView Group, based in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.

Richard Binswanger - Managing Principal, Not for Profit Services 

Mr. Binswanger has given his time and resources to Philadelphia area charities and non-profit organizations throughout his career and has served at all levels of non-profit operations. He currently chairs the Board of the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness in Philadelphia and The Advisory Board of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Council. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Brown University, and an M.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University.

Mr. Binswanger has worked in and led technology start-ups embracing learning, corporate and organization governance, risk management and compliance. In those firms, he has led business strategy, product development and marketing functions. Before that, Mr. Binswanger was president of the TLG Group, where he worked with clients on compliance and risk avoidance issues.

Stephen A. Brown, CPA - Principal, Manufacturing Financial Management 

Mr. Brown is a seasoned financial professional and Six Sigma Green Belt with demonstrated accomplishments in identifying, implementing and sustaining process improvements for lean manufacturing environments. He has extensive experience in creating financial analyses for decision-makers and internal control processes that reduce infrastructure costs. He has mastery of financial reporting, costing and budgeting in both discrete and continuous manufacturing environments. He has worked successfully to incorporate good communications and the latest accounting practice requirements in managing the relationship with external auditors.

His experience in implementation and management of information systems is enhanced by his ability to make useful information of the data captured. He has also supervised data centers and IT functions in plant and headquarters operations, including implementation of SAP enterprise systems.

In his career as Controller, Audit Manager and IT Director, he has demonstrated effective communication skills honed through scheduled and specialized presentations to senior, multinational leadership teams and through successfully managing an international staff. Mr. Brown has spent over twenty years in multiple businesses of the French-based Saint Gobain Group, a $40 Billion world leader in the habitat and specialty industrial materials markets.

Aya Fall, CISA - Principal, Information Technology Infrastructure 

Aya Fall is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with over fifteen years of information technology consulting experience. Aya offers extensive IT Audit and system implementation experience and has managed projects where he was responsible for designing, developing, and testing reports, interface and conversion programs to meet unique client requirements. Mr. Fall is a PeopleSoft Technical consultant and SAP HR 4.6C certified. He has also completed the Executive Leadership Development program at Yale University, and holds the highest security clearance from the government of Canada.

Mr. Fall's project management and IT development experience includes ERP implementation configuration and data architecture. He is also strong in experience with data conversion and protection as part of an ERP implementation. His compliance and implementation experience is deep in the design and assessment of effective identity and access management schema, spanning functional and technological operations to satisfy external auditors and internal business clients. He has a track record of reducing compliance costs and increasing the effectiveness of internal controls.

For four years, Mr. Fall managed a large professional services Global IT compliance team where his achievements included:

  • Conducting and documenting the IT risk assessment process, including:
  • Inventory and scoping of all SOX relevant applications worldwide
  • Prioritization and rationalization of controls with business and IT application owners
  • Planning the testing of company IT general computer and application controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Preparing and maintaining the ITGC risk, control and testing framework
  • Evaluation, remediation guidance and disposition of control deficiencies
  • Conduct of independent systems development life cycle assessment for core financial system development
  • Liaison with external auditors to achieve lower cost of compliance and increased reliance by auditors on less expensive internal staff for their opinion and deficiency report conclusions
  • Coordination with IT project management office for continued improvement in efficiency and exercise of controls over three Regional environments (EMEA, Asia Pacific and Americas)
  • Coordination with large production environment vendors to support SAS 70 control statements
  • In his management role, he:
  • Reduced global compliance staff by 4 full time equivalents (40% cost reduction) while reducing global IT control deficiencies over 35% in that period
  • Provided direction and guidance to members of the SOX IT team
  • Developed the IT compliance staff, including hiring, facilitation of methodology training, talent development and annual performance reviews
  • Managed local Regional compliance through Regional staff and contractors for high cost efficiency and effective reliability of testing

Joseph Van Thuyne - Principal, Organization Performance 

Joseph Van Thuyne has over 28 years of experience in the human resources profession. His most recent assignment was the position of Director, Human Resources: Succession Planning, Administration, Policies and Technology at BearingPoint – a leading management and technology consulting company with 15,000+ employees globally.

His area of practice offers HR strategic consulting services such as change management, policy development, talent management and technology. He also has supplied interim management support to Day and Zimmermann, Hana Group, Assurant Insurance Company, and Indevus Pharmaceuticals.

He held executive leadership positions with Delaware Investment and Janney Montgomery Scott with achievements of: shifting perception of HR from transactional and policy enforcement function to one of true business partner; directing organizational assessments and redesign and succession planning; aligning compensation to market; designing incentive compensation programs to attract and retain talent; outsourcing benefits administration and consolidated insurance providers leading to expense reductions and improving service levels; introducing 401(k) plan; and installing an integrating Human Resources and Payroll solution.

As a Manager in the Human Capital Practice of KPMG, he provided consulting services to clients on projects - service delivery model design; reengineering; software evaluation and selection with companies like PepsiCo. McGraw-Hill, CISCO, Armstrong, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Joe has also worked in a corporate management capacity for best practice companies - CIGNA, QVC, Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline and Raytheon.

Joe's areas of professional expertise include: talent acquisition, total rewards compensation and benefits, organization assessment, succession planning, HRO management, operations, change management and development. His 360 feedback define his strengths as strong leader, business oriented, strategic, innovative, and consultative. He is a team-player, recognized for his energy, integrity, and the ability to get the job done through his collaborative approach.
